‘A wand with more lift than Potter’s Wingardium Leviosa’
When choosing a skin treatment, even if it’s dubbed ‘non-invasive’ and ‘non-surgical’ it’s important to choose the best practitioner and with over 25 years of medical experience (that don’t show on her face!) Trudy Friedman is our latest discovery. Already a well-respected figure and speaker in the world of cosmetic medicine, Trudy now performs treatments from her home at the Aesthetic Skin Centre. Her aim is always to ‘enhance a natural look rather than change it’ and here at grooming towers we couldn’t agree more.
Refreshingly, the Aesthetic Skin Centre will only offer a treatments that Trudy feels suit her individual client’s needs. After an initial consultation with Trudy, that took into account my physiology, expectations and age, she decided that Pellevé was a good fit. This process works to tighten lax skin and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
But how exactly does Pellevé do this? Well it’s basically skin magic – there’s even a wand involved! However, instead of a casting a rejuvenating spell, the wand emitted radiowaves that heated my skin causing collagen to contract and tighten. It also stimulates the production of new, firmer collagen. The beauty of the product is that it precisely targets the deeper layers leaving your epidermis, or top layer to us laymen, untouched and unharmed.
Thankfully the treatment was totally pain free and I was in and out in under an hour. Results were more or less immediate with the skin tightening a little over the next few hours. Within a couple of days my skin was noticeably fresher and brighter and with results that are expected to last up to 6 months, what’s not to love.
