Bodysgallen Hall – Aromatherapy Associates, Skin Solutions Facial Treatment.

‘Two breaks in one!’

Have you ever heard of a ‘spring break’ that leaves you feeling and looking great? I thought not, well prepare to be educated, because when it comes to weekend flits Bodysgallen takes some beating! Situated in 200 acres of secluded grounds close to Llandudno, the estate serves up jaw dropping views of Snowdonia. Starting life as a watchtower, to warn of surprise attacks at nearby Conwy Castle, Bodysgallen Hall now offers a far warmer welcome, and the best in country house hospitality!

Like many grand homes, Bodysgallen Hall has gradually evolved over the centuries from modest hamlet to a large and comfortable country house, surrounded by one of the finest gardens in Wales. But what really drew me to Bodysgallen was its serene spa. Just a hop skip and a jump from the hotel, it has a large indoor swimming pool as well as a spa bath, steam room and sauna. You might guess that I passed on the opportunity to check out the gymnasium…deciding to settle down in one of the six spa treatment rooms instead.

But which treatment to choose? The Spa at Bodysgallen offers a wide range of beauty and well-being treatments with products by Aromatherapy Associates, Environ, Caci, and Jessica. All all designed to relax and restore the body, mind and spirit of both male and female guests. My therapist checked out my lacklustre skin to determine a plan of attack for its specific needs, and as a result I opted for an Aromatherapy Associates Skin Solutions Facial Treatment. It’s designed to refresh and re balance the skin and leave the complexion super clean and fresh.

Quality essential oils with therapeutic qualities were massaged into my face , giving it just the nourishment it needed. If that wasn’t good enough my treatment also included a relaxing scalp massage and a full facial massage to reduce muscle tension and firm my flabby facial contours. Mad as it might sound (my visit was in January after all) the weather was good enough to relax on the sun terrace, staring out at the romantic ruins of Deganwy Castle.

My time at Bodysgallen was really two breaks in one. I alternated between time spent in the hotel. feasting on the most delicious local and seasonal produce…with relaxing the spa. When (regrettably) it was time to leave, my face reflected my body, I looked AND felt, plumper, refreshed and more radiant!
