Here at The Grooming Guide we are excited by the launch of The Dolce & Gabbana Velvet Collection. Comprised of six authentic and expressive scents, the collection was designed as a tribute to the designers’ sartorial heritage and their natural ability to pinpoint the essence of Mediterranean indulgence. For their latest fragrance offering, the designers themselves become the muse, along with a heady dose of the Sicilian Baroque.

Here at The Grooming Guide we like the fact that each scent has its own specific olfactory influence: Sweet, woody Velvet Vetiver, raw, seductive Velvet Wood, luxurious Velvet Patchouli, sensual Velvet Sublime, decadent Velvet Desire and a rich, hypnotic Velvet Love. We can’t get enough of Velvet Vetiver and Velvet Patchouli! The former is classic and contains cologne notes of vetiver mixed with a contemporary pique of Mediterranean fig, which makes for an aromatic and elegant scent which is understated and refined. The latter is stronger and more musky, think patchouli oil drenched with woody chypre and kephalis. We know that a squirt of either over the Winter months is perfection. If you want to smell warm, masculine and inviting that is. Thanks Dolce and Gabbana!
