Ollie Locke

Ollie Locke is one of brightest stars of E4’s newest reality show, Made in Chelsea. Flamboyant and fabulous he has a natural talent in front of the camera and his genuine likeability shines throughout the series. Ollie makes no secret of his love for fake tan and eye lash curlers, and why should he? Here at The Grooming Guide we like the fact that he is always vain but never arrogant. So if you want to tan up, tame your mane or just look fresh after a hard night then Ollie is here to help…

What does being well groomed mean to you?
Many men seem to avoid the subject of being well groomed, in my eyes it’s terribly important to look good and make the best of what you have. Thankfully men are starting to realise that with some concealer and fake tan they can instantly look better looking, so why is every man not doing this?

So you think more guys are taking an interest in their appearance?
I just think that men have started to realise that sex really does rule the world, in every advertising campaign and magazine you see the most beautiful men with the best looking women! With such a huge range of cosmetic treatments now available to men, why wouldn’t they take the opportunity to improve their looks?

Do you think that being in the public eye makes you more aware you need to look good?
To be honest ever since I was young, my mother always said I should never go out the house looking anything less than wonderful, as I never know who I might bump into. Being in the public eye you have to remember what clothing you have been wearing, and it’s also good to have a make up bag handy, particularly after a big night.

Do you have a favourite aftershave? Are you loyal or promiscuous with your scent?
Im obsessed with Terre De Hermes, I must have been through about 20 bottles. I also really love Arabic scents as I find them elegant. Terre De Hermes may a contradiction of my character, it is very manly, strong and powerful after all. I often get more comments about my aftershave than my hair though, so we must fit well together.

Do you borrow products from your partner?
When I am with someone I do always end up wearing half their products, they must have introduced me to a huge majority of my make up bag!

Do you have a daily grooming routine, if so what products do you use?
Vita Libarata Fake Tan is an every day essential, and I follow it with Mac Tinted Moisturiser, Concealer and Matte Bronzer. They all work pretty well in my eyes but I have to say my ultimate secret beauty product is Batiste Dry Shampoo.

Do you buy products yourself?
I do, I have never been given any make up and take regular trips to Mac on the Kings Road.

You are well known for your long lustrous hair, how do you take care of it?
I try not to get it wet very often and Im a big fan of dry shampoo.

You have a hectic lifestyle and must get exhausted, what are your tips for looking fresh?
I tend to use foundation, or tinted moisturiser after a very heavy night. Somehow it only seems to last for a few hours on a hangover, so I keep it with me. Bronzer is great, just a little bit of a tan and no one need ever know that you had a late night.

What is the one product you can’t live without?
Batiste Dry Shampoo.

Who in the public eye do you think is well groomed/ gets it right?
Zac Efron always looks pretty good, I’ve never seen him look awful, he always looks very cool..
