Leo Gregory

“I have been known to steal my girlfriend’s La Prairie Skin Caviar”

Fulham resident Leo Gregory is a keen Tottenham Hotspur supporter who caught the acting bug as a school boy. Raised in Stockwell, South London by his mother Sue, a single parent with his triplet brothers, Ryan, Julian and Eliot. Uunable to afford drama school, he remembers constantly watching and observing people around him and mimicking their gestures.

A random encounter with a talent scout on the King’s Road aged 12 for an NBC mini series gave Gregory his first taste of acting to which her returned aged 19 after a brief stint as a DJ on the London club scene. He appeared in the critically acclaimed BBC drama “Out of Control”, and also dabbled with modelling, in campaigns for Burberry, Nicole Farhi, and Banana Republic.

Gregory is currently working on several films including a Swedish co-production, “In the Interest of the Nation” (due out later in the year) part of the Hamilton trilogy alongside Stellan Skarsgard and Jason Flemyng. “Wild Bill” (out over the Summer) starring Charlie Creed-Miles, Jason Flemyng, Jaime Winstone and Andy Serkis, “Men Don’t Lie” with Jean Hughes-Anglade and Michael Madsen and “Bulla” with Omid Djalili, Rufus Hound and Geoff Beck. Here he shares his daily grooming routine and shares tips on looking good, and feeling great!

Do you think more guys are into grooming and looking good, why do you think that is?
Yes I do, I just feel that we’re in an age when men want to look as good as they can, and to give themselves that extra confidence.

Being in the public eye do you have to make more effort?
Yes if you are going to be seen in the public eye, you never know when a camera might pop up. It also makes sense to look after yourself to maintain that professional image.

What guys in the public eye get it right…and wrong?
I like to think that I get it right most of the time! In my opinion, I feel that Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Jude Law and Chace Crawford get it right and always look cool.

How often do you you get your hair cut?  What do you use to style it and how does it work for you?
Generally, my haircut is dependant on what film I’m doing, but on the rare occasion I own my hair, I get it cut at Jason Shankey in Fulham Broadway. As for product – whatever makes it look presentable – whether it’s L’Oreal or Matrix.

How often do you shave and with what?
Actually, I use beard trimmers as I feel they provide a better appearance and finish.

Do you have a daily grooming routine, what products do you use on your skin?
I do have a daily routine, maybe not as thorough as others – but I’m a great fan of Kiehl’s skincare and use this. As I’m often flying from place to place, their moisturiser is great for keeping my skin hydrated.

Do you buy products?
Yes, Kiehl’s and also a product called Cane & Austin glycolic treatment pads

Be honest, do you ever borrow products from your partner/wife?
Sometimes I have been known to steal my girlfriend’s La Prairie Caviar.

What’s your favourite aftershave? Are you loyal to one or promiscuous?
I think smelling good is very important; my main spray for years has been Chanel Egoiste. I am also partial to a bit of Acqua di Parma, Tom Ford and Thierry Mugler, dependant on my mood.

Finally, what does being well groomed mean to you?
Being well groomed means a sense of well being, I believe that if you look good on the outside you feel great on the inside too.
