BB (Dirty Sexy Things)

You may know BB from the E4 programme Dirty Sexy Things, but he is also a celebrated commercial dancer who is also determined to make an impression in the fashion industry. Having recently unleashed his stunning good looks on the modeling industry, he has already secured up a number of major clients. BB is currently happy to balance his modelling with a dancing career, which has seen him on stage alongside the likes of Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Kylie, and Justin Timberlake. A likeable chap BB admits that it is ‘easy to be insecure of yourself’ in the cut-throat world of modelling. He tells us that his ambition is simply to shoot great campaigns – and not just be ‘another guy’. Here he shares his secrets for looking good and staying at the top of his game.

Being a model and also in the public eye, do you need to take special care of your appearance?

Yes. This is something I do by washing my face, moisturizing, running 2-3 times a week, drinking a lot of water and eating healthy and well balanced meals.

Do you prepare to go to castings in terms of grooming?
Yes, besides the basics (shower and brushing my teeth) I will make sure I am clean shaven, exfoliate and nicely moisturized.

Do you have a specific skincare routine? If so what products do you use and why do you use them/what are the effects?
I have been using Bio Oil and Creme De La Mer for a while now. I start with the Cleansing Fluid, and apply the moisturizing cream and sometimes the eye cream. Next on my list to purchase is the Creme De La Mer Elixir.

Do you think more guys are taking an interest in their appearance, what has brought this about?
I think it is great that Guys are starting to take more of an interest in their appearance. You should want to leave the house feeling good about yourself. I think very well groomed men such as David Beckham, George Clooney, Tom Cruise etc have sent out a positive message to men all over saying it is okay to enjoy fashion and to take care of themselves, be it with facials, manicures even tanning.

How often do you shave, what do you use to shave with, what products work for you?
I have little body hair so i can get away with shaving once a week. Wet shaving irritates my skin so
I use an electrical Wahl trimmer.

Do you have a signature fragrance, if so why and what is it? If you are not loyal to one brand what do you use
I have 3 fragrances that I am obsessed with, 212 Carolina Herrera, Dolce and Gabbana Pour Homme and the third shall remain a secret. I will however say it is a women’s perfume. Every time I wear it I get the most amount of compliments from the ladies.

Do you buy products yourself, what is your favourite range
Yes I buy all my own products. Besides Creme De La Mere I really enjoy the Neutrogena Visibly Clear range and Dermalogica.

What is the one product you cant live without?
8 Hour Cream.

Who in the public eye do you think is well groomed/ gets it right?
Definitely Tom Ford and David Beckham well apart from the curtains mishap ;)
