‘Cream of the crops!’
When it comes to grooming inspiration it doesn’t get much better than David Beckham. Sure he may have committed some style crimes in the past (see our timeline) but here at Grooming Towers we reckon that David Beckham continues to give good hair! His latest campaign for H&M is a case in point and is set to have guys from John o’Groats to Lands End reaching for their hair dryers!
This style may be an effortless combo of soft undercut and voluminous quiff but it will still require the right tools in your grooming armoury. Not only is this style far more flattering than your current undercut, but this grown out pompadour will also suit most face types! So what happens if you want to bouffe it like Beckham? Artistic Barber and Grooming Expert Carmelo Guastella suggests starting with a great cut that ‘uses scissors rather than clippers’ on the side of the head for a more relaxed look combine this with a ‘texture and length in the crown’ get the right cut and maintenance should be childs play.
So for a look thats more hunk and less gunk invest in some salt spray or if you must the smallest amount of hair paste…..then reach for the hairdryer! Work using your fingers to avoid the marks of a comb or brush and then separate the hair as you go to create an artfully dishevelled quiff with texture and hold. Simply sweep it up to create hight or style it forward if you have a high forehead! Like all the best new cuts this will one will have you looking bang up to date, and with the minimum of effort and maintenance. Thankyou Mr Beckham!
