Sadie Frost

‘Listen guys over plucking your eyebrows is the worst!’

As the ex-wife of Jude Law and Gary Kemp, Sadie Frost clearly has an eye for quality! Here at The Grooming Guide we know her for a strong involvement in the arts and this year has seen both the continued success of her label FrostFrench as well as a successful return to the joys of the theatre!

With a skincare range Palm Springs also in the pipeline, we began to wonder at The Grooming Guide how she always managed to look so fresh. No stranger to a good cause this Grooming Girl has also bared all for PETA! Imagine how happy we were when she chose to drop by and expose her views on guys and grooming! Thanks Sadie.

What makes a well groomed man?
Someone that respects themselves enough to take care of the way that they smell, look, and feel on a regular basis.

So you can choose…rugged or clean shaven?
Ideally a balance between the two; I like men to be slightly rough. Two days after a clean shave is perfect for me!

Guys can get it so wrong sometimes, don’t you think?
True, I really don’t like it when a guy is obsessive about his appearance. Who would want to be with a partner that fights over the mirror!?

So any more tips for us?
Leave eyebrows well alone, overplucking is a no no!

What are your favourite fragrances for yourself and on a man?
My personal favourites are Agent Provocateur and Lily of the Valley. I always take to a guy wearing Comme Des Garcons MAN, or Le Labo.

Who were your style icons when growing up?
David Essex and John Trovolta.

Are there any guys in the public eye that you believe are particularly well-groomed?
I’m really into Christian Bale, Tom hardy and David Miliband.

Miliband?
Yes! He seems dignified, intelligent and slightly shy. I like that.

Do you get much time to pamper yourself?
A close friend is a reflexologist so I often get treated with a free service. I always make sure that my nails look great, and I love going for facials. Having time for myself is important and I try to maintain myself even when the children’s schedule is busy.

Be honest, how long does it take you to get ready for an event?
I’m really quick, it takes me about 20mins. I’m used to preparing for a school run in the mornings and I have short hair so there isn’t much to style. The main thing I need to do is set up my outfit then I’m ready to go.

Which products do you use to take care of your skin?
Paw Paw Ointment, Radical Body Cream, Chanel foundation base and Environ.

Apparently you are in the process of launching your own products. What are we to expect?
I have an exotic lifestyle brand, Palm Springs, which is due to release in 2013, our first product is a skincare range.

Have you had any grooming disasters in your past?
I haven’t had any grooming disasters, ask my mum and she’ll tell you I’ve had many fashion disasters.
